Hi-Mar DFC-17
An established defoamer for general purpose latex paints. Primary recommendation is for flat acrylic. This is the workhorse of acrylic flat paint formulations.

Hi-Mar DFC-19
A highly efficient defoamer recommended for acrylic and vinyl acrylic, semi-gloss and high gloss latex paints. It provides rapid bubble break, excellent color acceptance, persistency and excellent shelf stability on aging.

A water dispersible defoamer recommended for high gloss paints. Provides excellent leveling and flow control properties.

Hi-Mar DFC-31
A water dispersible silica-free organic defoamer recommended for semi-gloss latex paints. It is highly effective in formulations sensitive to surface defects such as fisheyes.

Hi-Mar DFC-39
A mineral oil based defoamer for use in flat, semi-gloss and gloss architectural paints. It exhibits defoaming strength similar to wax-based defoamers with no reduction in gloss. It is not water dispersible and should be used as received.

A low organic content defoamer for general purpose acrylic flat and semi-gloss latex paint. It provides excellent gloss properties at an economical price. It can be recommended to defoam tint bases.

Hi-Mar DFC-80
A 100% active, non-ionic, emulsifiable defoamer imparting excellent foam control properties in aqueous foaming media. It is especially effective in water reducible industrial coatings, clear coats, acrylics, vinyl acrylics and polyvinyl acetate systems.

A 100% active defoamer particularly effective in paints and coatings, imparting rapid bubble break and excellent persistence. It promotes defect-free films. It is effective in most clear coat applications.

A 100% active, mineral oil-free defoamer that is effective in water–based inks. It is very dispersible in water and is the workhorse of glycol-based defoamers for flexographic inks. It has shown superior printability in many applications.

A readily dispersible efficient defoamer at low concentration for general purpose adhesive systems. It is recommended for protein type and casein coatings.

A mineral oil-free defoamer highly compatible with most flexographic inks. It is particularly effective where color acceptance properties are demanding. It is the workhorse of the flexo ink defoamers.

Hi-Mar E-300
A readily dispersible defoamer recommended for gravure inks. It exhibits very fast knockdown and suppression of foam. It is a good all purpose defoamer for gravure ink

Hi-Mar E-303
A highly dispersible, silicone-free defoamer recommended for gravure, screen print inks and overprint varnishes. Compatibility with most resin systems results in smooth, defect free films. It can be added to pigment grind and let down stages.

Hi-Mar G-408
A non-ionic defoamer particularly effective in acrylate/alkyd combinations, water reducible baking enamels and hybrid systems. It works according to a process known as “inverse solubility”, i.e. extremely effective at or above the cloud point.

Hi-Mar G-420
A highly effective oil and silicone-free defoamer for water-base flexo, gravure and screen printing inks. It promotes quick bubble break and smooth films due to compatibility with resin formulations. It will not adversely affect properties such as gloss, block resistance and adhesion. It may be used as received or predispersed in water, as well as added to pigment grind and letdown stages.

An excellent grind defoamer for architectural and waterborne general industrial coatings. It is extremely effective at low dosages.

Hi-Mar S-660
A glycol/modified silicone defoamer for use in a variety of industrial and water reducible coatings. It has outstanding foam control and does not reduce the gloss. To achieve maximum efficiency, half of the total amount of defoamer should be used in the grind base.

Hi-Mar S-665
A non-ionic, water-based defoamer for aqueous coating systems. It is particularly recommended for coatings based on styrene/acrylic resins. It is also very effective in waterbased flexo graphic inks.

Hi-Mar S-675
A 100% active, glycol/silicone derivative defoamer specifically formulated for polyurethane, acrylic/polyurethane, styrene/acrylic and pure acrylic water-borne systems. It does not reduce gloss of very high gloss paints.

A general industrial defoamer for aqueous coatings that are used as air drying/baking enamels or UV-curing coatings for metal and wood. Requires high speed mixing for incorporation.

Hi-Mar S-690
A 100% active defoamer for emulsion paint. It is particularly effective in pigmented acrylic, styrene/acrylic, acrylic/urethane and alkyd/amine waterborne systems. It is very efficient in destabilizing both macro and micro foam.

Hi-Mar DS 535
A low foaming, low molecular weight anionic pigment dispersant for coatings. It can be used with or without reactive pigments in most paint formulas. It enhances gloss and aids in color development. It is the workhorse of general purpose dispersants.

Hi-Mar DS 540
A low molecular weight anionic pigment dispersant for paints, adhesives and latex compounds. In detergents it replaces the use of phosphates. It has tight molecular weight control, promoting efficient dispersive characteristics.

Hi-Mar DS 543
Suited for applications such as electrical ceramics and specialized paper coatings where sodium or potassium salts are objectionable. It is an all-purpose dispersant particularly effective in high PVC traffic paints.

A low molecular weight anionic pigment dispersant for coatings. It is non-foaming and enhances gloss in semi-gloss latex paints.

A low molecular weight dispersant especially suited as an antiscalant in water treatment applications. It is also recommended for detergent and dishwashing compounds.

Hi-Mar DOS
A 75% active, anionic surfactant. It provides maximum surface tension reduction and penetration at low concentration in aqueous media. It is a particularly effective wetting agent for latex paints, adhesives and textiles.

Hi-Mar DOS-E
A 75% active, anionic surfactant containing two percent ethanol. Widely used when a more volatile co-solvent is needed. Particularly effective wetting agent for latex paints because it provides maximum surface tension reduction at low concentrations.
